TEHRAN The 12th death anniversary of Imam Khomeini is commemorated in order to fulfill the Imam's aims and it is the duty of all Iranians to complete these aims, according to Mohammad-Ali Ansari, the secretary of the Committee for Commemorating the Demise Anniversary of Imam Khomeini.

Addressing reporters at a press conference held in Tehran on Sunday, he said that a security, an executive and a cultural committee have been formed for the commemoration of the 12th demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini.

The commemoration of the late Imam is scheduled to be held on June 3-4 (13-14 Khordad), with the participation of Iranian and foreign guests and reporters at the holy shrine of the Imam in Tehran's Beheshet-e Zahra Cemetery, Ansari added. Ansari also said that it had been the desire of the late Imam that all people would participate in presidential elections. Ansari asked everyone to take part in the presidential elections and said that it is necessary to vote in the elections in order to follow Imam Khomeini guidelines.
